Bring your family the gift of Pure Water

Over the course of the last year, we’ve covered all kinds of water related topics, from microplastics to forever chemicals, water and skincare and money saving with soft water – it goes to show that there are so many reasons to treat your water at home.
A home water treatment system is a perfect gift for your family this December, and here are some of the (many) reasons why!
Protect your home from hard water!
If you live in a hard water area, you’ll be noticing limescale around the home, on taps, kettles and showerheads, just to name a few examples. The presence of dissolved calcium and magnesium in hard water is what causes this build-up, and this causes problems around the home.
Taps, kettles, irons, showerheads – having to descale these things is inconvenient, and eventually having to replace them repeatedly over the years is costly. But if limescale is building up in these places – it's affecting your larger appliances, too! Washing machines, dishwashers, boilers (also radiators) all suffer from limescale build up. This doesn’t only shorten their lifespan, potentially costing you large sums of money to replace them, but the limescale build-up also makes them less efficient! Softening your water not only protects them, but helps them to run efficiently, saving you money on your energy bills.
Save money on cleaning products
Alongside saving on your energy bills, you’ll also save on your soap and cleaning products. With softened water, you could be using up to 75% less when it comes to soap products. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath, washing up liquid, detergent – all of these things that we use daily go so much further with soft water.
Hard water reacts with compounds in soap, meaning it can’t lather properly – softening your water can save you hundreds of pounds a year, on top of the savings you’re already going to make on energy bills!
We discussed money saving with soft water in our previous blog post, so have a look if you want to find out more.
Protect your skin and hair
Skin is the largest organ in the human body, so protecting it is important. Hard water is unkind to our skin and hair. Hard water (as well as chlorine – don’t worry, we can filter that out, too) affects our skin and its ability to produce natural oils. Dry, itchy skin can result from hard water, as well as it aggravating conditions such as eczema. Soft water will have a profound impact on both skin and hair, it really is the gift that just keeps on giving.
Ditch the bottled water!
Softening isn’t all we do here at PWP – we also treat drinking water to wonderful levels. Water that is filtered and purified, removing odours, tastes, chemicals, bacteria, pharmaceuticals, hormones and microplastics (just to name a few things!) can be something that is constantly available from your kitchen tap. Bottled water is a go-to for many people wanting better quality drinking water and better quality hydration, and we totally get that– but it’s expensive, bad for the environment and drinking out of plastic bottles isn’t ideal from a health perspective.
Mineral water from your tap, with all unwanted impurities removed, whenever you want it, might sound too good to be true...but it isn’t!
Take the worry out of water
Another wonderful benefit of treating your water with The Pure Water People is...peace of mind.
