Save Money with Pure Water!

There are too many benefits to count when you have pure water in your home.
At PWP, we soften, filter and purify, making your water wonderful! Eradicating limescale, providing soft water for bathing and showering and giving you beautifully polished and remineralised water for your kitchen tap; these are not just huge quality of life benefits, but they also save you money!
Hard water is expensive!
Limescale build up isn’t just unsightly and inconvenient – it's expensive to live with! Day-to-day savings are one of the many benefits of installing a water softener. Soap products, laundry detergents and washing up liquid all go a lot further with soft water. Hard water contains magnesium and/or calcium ions – these are responsible for affecting the soap’s ability to properly lather (these ions interact with surfactants, chemicals that are a key ingredient in detergents, which are important to soap lather).
With soft water you’ll be using up to 75% less of your soap products. The average UK household expenditure on cleaning and personal hygiene products, in 2024, is £37 per month- even reducing this by half would save a household £222 over the course of a year!
The most significant cost associated with living with hard water is your energy bills. Limescale builds up in boilers, radiators and other large appliances (anywhere that your water supply touches, really!), and this build up inhibits heat flow, meaning that these larger appliances are much less efficient. This means that if you live in a hard water area, you could be spending up to 40% more on your energy bills!
The most expensive thing you can do with hard water is...nothing!
Also protecting your larger appliances from the wear and tear caused by hard water also means they last longer, protecting you from potential costly repairs. There’s even a lot of money to be saved by no longer needing to replace your kettle and iron!
Bottled water – bad for the environment and for your wallet!
Bottled water is an expensive way to stay hydrated. If an average family of 4 drank the recommended 8 glasses a day using bottled water, it would cost around £1460 a year. That will vary based on the cost of the water in question and how much is actually used, but we often speak to people who almost exclusively drink bottled water due to being dissatisfied with the quality of untreated tap water (some people even like to use it for their kettles, coffee machines and even irons – and we understand why!). They are always delighted to hear that treating their drinking water with us only requires a filter change every 6 months to 1 year, saving them a significant amount of money, whilst enabling them to enjoy superior water quality.
Avoiding the plastic bottles is also good for the environment and your health – treating your home water supply really is a no-brainer.
