Life is about choices, and when treating your home water supply, it’s important that you can choose the right option to suit your needs and preferences.
Choosing the right softener is important. The same goes for your drinking water system. Different filters work in different ways – they have different filtration media, they are installed in different ways and cater to a range of budgets and preferences.
Our filters do have one thing in common...they’re all fantastic at what they do! But which one is right for you?
The Kinetico Premier Ultra filter
The Premier Ultra Filter does just what it suggests – provides Ultra Filtered water! The 0.01 micron (just for context, a human hair is around 50-100 microns thick!) ultra-filtration membrane delivers great tasting water and significantly reduces impurities such as chlorine, viruses and bacteria (up to 99%!).
It’s not just effective – it's cost effective, too. It works out at about 2p a litre. A normal jug filter is about 4p (half the cost to run and much more effective than your filter jug!) per litre, and bottled water is much, much more.
Recommended water consumption for adults will vary based on a number of factors (height, weight, weather and exercise, to name just a few), but if you’re drinking around 2.5l of water in a day, and are drinking bottled water (which so many people prefer over tap), at 65p a liter – some brands are more than that – you're spending more than £11 a week on drinking water. With the Premier Ultra Filter, it's working out at around 35p a week! A real no-brainer.
The Pentair Everpure PBS-400
Another option is the Everpure PBS-400. This has a handy feature – due to its high flow rate, it can be installed without the need for an extra faucet tap.
Also filtering lead, cysts and microplastic particles (just to mention a few!), this system is effective as well as convenient. Utilising an ‘accordion folded’ filter membrane, which is covered with a very fine activated carbon (Micro Pure ®) coating, the PBS-400 delivers great-tasting, healthy drinking water straight from your tap.
Kinetico K5 Pure +. Mineral water from your tap
For purified, remineralised water on tap, whenever you want it, look no further than the Kinetico K5 Pure+.
The K5 Pure+ utilises Reverse Osmosis (RO) to deliver crystal clear, great tasting, purified water to your tap. In this process, the water coming to your drinking supply is pushed through a semi-permeable membrane, trapping contaminants – the purified water is then remineralised. You can now drink and cook with mineral water, just how nature intended it.
Providing 1800l of fresh, purified mineral water before you need to change the cartridges, and with extra space to customise your system with extra filters suited to a range of purposes (for example, to accommodate customers who are on a private water supply), the K5 Pure+ truly excels in treating your drinking water.
