Chemical Removal Filter (CRF)
Our Chemical Removal Filter uses a modified molded block manufactured using Pentairs proprietary Fibredyne technology. This technology creates a unique filter media by attaching powdered activated carbon and lead adsorbent material onto a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix. This results in higher reduction efficiencies that resist plugging, offer longer life.
Fibredyne carbon block technology also offers up to two times the chlorine taste and odour reduction and dirt holding capacity of traditional blocks. In addition, this technology will not release fines into the effluent stream due to a unique post-filtration layer fused to the carbon/fiber media blend.
It is ideal for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial and industrial applications.
The CRF benefits from the unique Fibredyne technology, which consists of cellulose-free synthetic fibres impregnated with powdered activated carbon. The result combines the benefits of carbon and sediment filters to deliver up to 2 times the Chlorine Taste and Odour reduction and the dirt-holding capacity of standard carbon blocks and sediment cartridges. Fibredyne cartridges utilize the benefit of small particle reduction at a flow rate comparable to a 10-micron-rated cartridge. Efficiency is so high that microscopic particles can be removed to create cleaner, safer water.
